If you've purchased a domain from another provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Exabytes) and subscribed to a Cynet hosting plan, you'll need to point your domain to our servers so your website and email work correctly.
Already purchased your domain through Cynet? No action is needed — your domain is automatically pointed to the correct nameservers.
What You Need
- Your domain registrar login credentials (where you bought the domain)
- An active Cynet hosting plan
Cynet Nameservers
Update your domain's nameservers to:
| Nameserver |
|---|
ns1.cynethost.com |
ns2.cynethost.com |
ns3.cynethost.com |
ns4.cynethost.com |
Steps
Step 1: Log in to Your Domain Registrar
Go to the website where you purchased your domain and sign in to your account.
Step 2: Find the Nameserver Settings
Look for one of these options in your domain management area:
- Nameservers or DNS Servers
- DNS Management
- Domain Settings → Nameservers
Step 3: Replace the Nameservers
- Remove all existing nameservers
- Add the four Cynet nameservers listed above
- Make sure all four are entered — this ensures redundancy and reliability
Step 4: Save Changes
Click Save, Update, or Change Nameservers (depending on your registrar).
Step 5: Wait for DNS Propagation
After saving, DNS propagation begins. During this period:
- Your website may be temporarily inaccessible
- Propagation typically takes 2–24 hours (most users see changes within 2–4 hours)
- In rare cases, it can take up to 48 hours for full global propagation
What Happens After Propagation
Once nameservers have propagated:
- Your website loads from Cynet hosting — upload your files to cPanel →
/public_html - Email routes through Cynet — you can create email accounts in cPanel
- SSL certificate is issued automatically via AutoSSL
- DNS records are managed in cPanel → Zone Editor
Next Steps
After pointing your domain, continue setting up your hosting:
- First Steps After Purchase — Log in to cPanel, install WordPress, set up email
- How to Log In to cPanel — Access your hosting control panel
- How to Create an Email Account — Set up professional email addresses
Troubleshooting
Website not loading after 24 hours
- Verify nameservers are correctly set at your registrar — check for typos
- Use whatsmydns.net to confirm NS records show Cynet nameservers
- Clear your browser cache or try an incognito/private window
- Flush your local DNS: run
ipconfig /flushdns(Windows) orsudo dscacheutil -flushcache(Mac)
"This site can't be reached" error
- DNS may still be propagating — wait a few more hours
- Confirm your hosting account is active in the Cynet client area
Old website still showing
Your browser or ISP may be caching the old DNS. Try accessing from a different device, a mobile network, or use incognito mode.
