- Check the Sent folder — Make sure it appears in your Sent items
- Receive a test — Send an email to your cPanel address from another account
Troubleshooting
"Authentication failed" or "Wrong password"
- Verify your email and password are correct (case-sensitive)
- Test your credentials via webmail at
yourdomain.com/webmail - If you recently changed your password, use the new one
"Cannot connect to server"
- Ensure you typed
mail.yourdomain.comcorrectly - Confirm ports: 993 (IMAP) and 465 (SMTP)
- Check that security is set to SSL/TLS (not STARTTLS or None)
- Try switching from WiFi to mobile data (or vice versa) to rule out network issues
Emails not appearing
- Pull down on the inbox to manually refresh
- Check sync settings: Gmail → Account settings → ensure sync is enabled
- Verify your mailbox isn't full in cPanel → Email Accounts
Certificate security warning
If you see a certificate warning when connecting, it's because the server SSL certificate doesn't match mail.yourdomain.com. This is safe on Cynet servers — tap Accept or Trust to continue.
