Email forwarding lets you automatically redirect incoming messages from one email address to another. This is useful if you want to manage all your emails from a single inbox like Gmail or Outlook.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An active Cynet hosting account with email enabled
- Access to your cPanel dashboard
- The destination email address ready (e.g., [email protected])
Steps
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
Go to your Cynet client area and click cPanel Login under your active hosting plan, or navigate directly to yourdomain.com/cpanel.
Step 2: Find the Forwarders Tool
In cPanel, scroll down to the Email section and click on Forwarders.
Step 3: Add a New Forwarder
Click the Add Forwarder button at the top of the page.
Step 4: Configure the Forwarder
Fill in the following fields:
- Address to Forward: Enter the email address on your domain (e.g.,
info) - Domain: Select your domain from the dropdown
- Destination: Choose Forward to Email Address and enter the external email (e.g.,
[email protected])
Step 5: Save and Test
Click Add Forwarder to save. Send a test email to your domain email address and verify it arrives at the destination inbox.
Expected Result
All emails sent to your domain email address will now be automatically forwarded to the destination address. The original email will still be delivered to your domain mailbox unless you configure it to discard.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Emails not arriving? Check the destination inbox's spam/junk folder.
- Forwarding to Gmail? Gmail may take a few minutes to accept forwarded emails from a new source.
- Want to forward and keep a copy? Make sure the forwarder is set to "Forward" and not "Discard" so a copy remains in your domain mailbox.
