The cPanel Website Builder lets you create a professional-looking website without writing a single line of code. Simply choose a template, customise it with your content, and publish — all from your web browser.
Important: The Website Builder tool is only available on Website Builder hosting plans. If you're on a different plan, you won't see this option in cPanel.
Prerequisites
- A Cynet Website Builder hosting plan
- A domain pointed to your hosting (
ns1.cynethost.comthroughns4.cynethost.com) - Access to cPanel
Steps
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
Navigate to yourdomain.com/cpanel or log in via the Cynet client area (see How to Log In to cPanel).
Step 2: Open the Website Builder
- In the cPanel dashboard, scroll to the Software section
- Click Website Builder
Step 3: Select Your Domain
If you have multiple domains on your account, select the domain you want to build the website for from the dropdown menu. Then click Start.
Step 4: Choose a Template
Browse the available templates and select one that best suits your website's purpose:
- Business — Corporate sites, service pages, portfolios
- Blog — Personal blogs, news, content-driven sites
- Online Store — Product showcases, small e-commerce
- Portfolio — Photography, design, creative work
- Personal — Resumes, personal branding, hobby sites
Tip: Don't worry too much about the perfect template — you can customise colours, fonts, layouts, and content after selecting one. Choose the template that's closest to the structure you want.
Step 5: Customise Your Website
Once a template is loaded, use the drag-and-drop editor to make it your own:
Edit Text and Images
- Click on any text block to edit it directly
- Replace placeholder images with your own — upload photos or use the built-in image library
- Update headings, descriptions, and button labels to match your business
Modify the Layout
- Add elements: Drag new sections like text blocks, images, galleries, contact forms, maps, and social media icons onto your page
- Remove elements: Select any element and delete it if you don't need it
- Rearrange: Drag sections up or down to change the page order
Customise the Design
- Colours: Change the colour scheme to match your brand
- Fonts: Choose from available font families for headings and body text
- Background: Set page or section backgrounds (solid colour, gradient, or image)
- Navigation: Edit the menu structure and page links
Add New Pages
- Click the Pages menu to add, rename, or remove pages
- Common pages to create: Home, About Us, Services, Contact, Gallery
Step 6: Preview Your Website
Before publishing, preview your website to check how it looks:
- Click the Preview button
- Review the site on both desktop and mobile views
- Check that all links, images, and content display correctly
- Proofread all text for spelling and grammar
Step 7: Publish
Once you're satisfied with the design:
- Click the Publish button
- Your website is now live at
yourdomain.com
Making Changes After Publishing
You can update your website at any time:
- Log in to cPanel → Website Builder
- Select your domain
- The editor will load your current published site
- Make your changes
- Click Publish again to push the updates live
Adding Essential Features
Contact Form
Most templates include a contact form. Configure it to send submissions to your email:
- Click on the contact form element
- Set the recipient email address
- Customise the form fields (Name, Email, Phone, Message, etc.)
- Add a success message that displays after submission
Google Maps
Add a map showing your business location:
- Drag a Map element onto your page
- Enter your business address
- Adjust the zoom level and map size
Social Media Links
Connect your social profiles:
- Drag Social Media Icons onto your page (usually in the header or footer)
- Enter the URLs for your Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
Best Practices
- Keep it simple — Clean, uncluttered designs perform better than busy pages
- Use high-quality images — Blurry or pixelated photos make your site look unprofessional
- Write clear content — Tell visitors who you are, what you do, and how to contact you
- Include a call-to-action — Every page should guide visitors toward contacting you, making a purchase, or taking the next step
- Test on mobile — Most visitors browse on their phones, so ensure the mobile view looks good
- Set up SSL — Enable HTTPS for security (see How to Set Up SSL)
Troubleshooting
Website Builder not showing in cPanel
The Website Builder is only available on Website Builder hosting plans. If you're on a Business, WordPress, or other plan, this tool won't appear. Check your plan type in the Cynet client area → My Services.
Changes not appearing after publishing
- Clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete) or try an incognito window
- Wait 1–2 minutes — changes sometimes take a moment to propagate
- Verify you clicked Publish after making changes
Website looks different on mobile
Use the mobile preview in the editor to adjust the mobile layout. Some elements may need resizing or repositioning for smaller screens.
Images not loading
- Ensure uploaded images are in a supported format (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP)
- Keep image file sizes reasonable (under 2 MB per image) for fast loading
- Check that the images were fully uploaded before publishing
